Line Appearance


Can you have line Appearance on DT 2050 phones using V3.0 software?

If this is possible how, would you do this under digital telephony?

Official answer - No.

IP Office 3.0 (and thus Line appearances) does not support DT ports.

IP Office 3.0DT does support DT ports but has none of the features of IP Office 3.0 (obscenity deleted).

to be even more clear after todays meeting with Avaya.
It will never.....nor will be there support for 3.0 applications.....(ok...CCC5 works)

AND I HAVE JUST BOUGHT A DS 16


I INSTALLED THIS ON TO MY SYSTEM AND IT WON'T WORK

I WANT TO GET A S08 MODULE USE OUR SECOND 403 AND RUN THIS VIA OUR CURRENT SYSTEM USING BRI CARD

WILL THIS WORK ANY IDEAS GUYS AND GALS


ALSO MY 403 AT HOME IS A DT AND IT WORKS FINE WITH THE ADMIN 3.0 NOT THE DT VERSION

!!!! Yes you can, we've been running mixed DT/DS systems since the dawn of IP Office.

Yes they would be right that you can't now use the DT expansion module with IP Office 3.0, but on any other flavour of IP Office software you can run both types of expansion module simultaneously.


On the other issue, yes IP Office 3.0 works on an IP403DT - but the moment you try to get support for anything plugged into its integral DT ports Avaya will tell you "not supported".

Avaya's suggestions for DT at this moment are:

1. stay at level 2.1
2. go to level 3.0 DT if you want to profit from the 45 days trial software;
3. migrate to DS........

I wonder how Avaya UK will survive this strategy....

thanks i will downgrade to 2.1.27 and see what happens will my vmpro 3.0 need to be downgraded also? i guess it should work.
