Line Appearance When off hook?

Hello,
I installed a 3X8 today with DR5 software. It has five 7208 sets and one 7310 set. The reception set (7310) would like a couple of buttons set up so she can see when a couple of the 7208's are off hook and on the phone. I've set this up numerous times on CICS and MOD's by programming a button as an internal autodial button (Feature *2) and when the internal autodial set goes off hook the triangle appears by the button,and she can tell if they are on the phone. I couldn't get the triangle to appear on this 3X8 today. Thanks,

The version of your 7310 set may be playing a factor in this. Older version M7310 sets will show busy status only if they are programed with both an Answer DN and an internal auto dial button. I think that the version level must be 17B.

If you can afford to get one, but a 7324 phone would be much more flexible for what you want to do. With its dedicated 24 buttons, you can assign each of the buttons to a line along with the individual extensions to the phones you want. When that person is a call, their button will light up indicating this.
