Line appearance on PANASONIC system

Guyz,

I have a panasonic DBS576 KSU and I need to make some line appearances. I have no prior experience with PANA.... Can any one help here. I do understand the programmings now that I spend two days with the system but I seem to be missing something.
Those "FF" keys seems to be inactive. In the "Extension programing menu" all the lines are assigned to the sets some have appearances - you can press the "FF" key and dial out. Is there some kind of restrictions that inhibit me from having those line appearances. Any help will be appreciated.
