Line 2 Auto Answer Or ring trips

Just upgraded a customer from rel 2 to 7. Now line 2 trips the ring immediatly, or it auto answers, don't know wich. How can I default trunk settings.

#506 will change the number of rings before the attendant picks up on a per line basis.
 
First question, what's answering? The auto attendant, an extension somewhere, something outside of the system?

If the line button turns solid red, something on the system is answering. Call it from another line, so YOU can hear what happens. If it is not the auto attendant, temporarily program buttons on a phone for all the other extensions in the system, see which one of them lights up as in use.

Just had one where the customer plugged some random connecting cords into open station ports. One of them was connected to the phone company's demarc, from some former outside lines. They were sending Ext. 31 back out into Verizon's outside plant! When Verizon's pair developed a short to ground, it started auto answering all the incoming calls.

 
have you unplugged the second line and called to see if the problem is external of the ACS ?

have you swapped lines one and two (or put line two in a another line port )to see if the problem stays at the second line port ?
 
Thanks for the hints. Yes, I moved line 2 to line 4 and it works OK. System is answering on the first CO ring. Good ideas to see what is causing it.
