After an AC power surge CO lines 1&2 are shorted out by the Nortel system. Line module is NT7B75AAAC. (Lines 3&4 are ok)(stays shorted even when AC power is removed) When I pull the line module out of the NNTM8456BG2R CICS KSU the short on lines 1&2 clears. I think this means the line module is bad. Do you think just the line module is bad or do you think the KSU is damaged also? Thanks, MWW

Try one line on on either port 1 or 2. Does it work alone or not?

You never really know what is damaged in the event of a power surge until you start replacing hardware.
Start with the Trunk Cartridge, it's cheaper and easier than replacing the KSU.

Put that Trunk card in the other slot of the CICS and see only 2 lines still work. If so then it is probably the card and not the CICS.

Thanks. I will try that. It is in the far left slot. Can I just move it one to the right? Will that affect the programming or line appearances?

Also make sure you power the unit down before removing or adding any cards.
