I am using Acrobat to create a photo gallery of images for sale. I would like to limit a users ability to zoom in on an image to 100% and below to guarantee a certain level of image quality in an Acrobat Reader environment. Can this be done?

Can I force user preferences to use "Smooth Text", "Smooth Line Art", and "Smooth Images".

Thanks,

Eric

I know when you create a PDF you can use the security settings to set it to open at a certain scale (e.g. 100%). Not sure if you can prevent someone opening it with Reader zooming in closer though.

You can set the maximum magnification in [EDIT][PREFERENCES]. See below:

This will work with your own system but I'm not sure it will work with PDF you create for ohters.

good luck.

Limiting the user to a specific magnification may not be a good idea. Users that use diferent definition screens may or may not be able to see the contents fo the PDF. The perfect viewing size for a 15" monitor at a low res. setting may be entirely different for a 19" monitor with ultra-high res. settings. Aloha,
