How do I limit the number of occurances of a given shared application. I want to limit the number of times an application can be run on a given server.

Howdy!
Taken it that you might be using MetaFrame XPa/XPe with Feature Release 1 activated this is not a problem at all. Otherwise it might be...

With XP FR1 just use application properties and restrict the number of concurrent application instances in the server farm.

Another thought with XPa or XPe in mind is using Load Evaluators (custom made) that restrics a certain number of concurrent instances. Mount the Load Evaluator on a application and then choose the server you have in mind.

I'm working on a solution with that right now to prevent the usage of 100 ip-adresses(!!!)

Hope these tips gets your brain spinning!
:)

Cheers,
Chris.
