I have a situation where I have two simultaneous tasks (let's them TaskA and TaskB...both 4 weeks in duration....going on at the same time).

If I want a single resource to spend 2 weeks on TaskA and then 2 weeks on TaskB....how do I set up the task(s) and the resource availability.

I appreciate any help you all can provide.

1. View | Resource Sheet and create all your resources.
2. View | Gantt and create all your tasks.
3a. Window | Split
3b. In the form at the bottom, RightMouseButton on the gray area and click Resource Work
4. Click on a task in the Gantt view; the task info is displayed in the bottom form.
5. In the bottom form:
5a. Where it says "Task Type" select "Fixed Duration"; click OK.
5b. Click under Resource Name and select a resource.
5c. Under Units enter 50%
5d. Click OK.
6. Click on any task in the Gantt view
7. Click View | Task Usage to see how Project has allocated the time for the resources on each task.
