Hello,

I've searched and scoured everywhere, but can't seem to find a solution.

I have a public computer (I'm the I.T. guy for a non-profit vocational rehab) for our clients to use for job searching. Everyone has a user account with limited access.

Naturally, I have people hogging the machine. I want to limit their time to 30 minutes per session.

The NET USER function does me no good; I need them to be able to access the computer at any time during the day. I just need their sessions to be 30 minute maximums, and then automatically log off.

I know there are 3rd party applications, but my budget is exactly $0 for this little beast of a project.

If anyone has any ideas it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance for any/all help!

Does the WinExit screensaver only monitor idle time or does it monitor logged on time? In any case can you get any ideas from this thread?

Otherwise you may have to submit a report to the management and point out the problems and security risks of doing nothing and try and get a few dollars released for a third party solution.

Let's hope someone else has a freeware suggestion. You could always use the threat of banishment for abusers of time usage policies and deletion of their user profile.

There are 3rd party freeware programme out there, not tried any yet.

Search for Freeware Internet Cafe Software (although some through up trial and not freeware), some are ad supported, so read all the junk with it.

If you find a good one, let me know, I'll need one in about 2 months time :)
