Limit Time for phone with Cisco Call Manager or Call Unity

Hi,

We are having phones being abused in certain areas of our office. I would like to restrict these phones to be able to call offsite to just business hours for these 5 phones.

How can I do this?

Yes you can implement "time of day" routing feature for these phones and they will get atumatically changed to a css and partition that cannot call out using time of day. It's an advanced feture to configure and until you've done one it can be confusing. Also be aware that there is no way to override this from an end user standpoint. So if someone was working there after hours needing to make a call, it would take admin intervention to do so.

Have you thought about implementing FAC codes for those 5 phones, so a code is required to make calls? This could be implemented all the time or in conjuction with "time of day".

How about Extension mobility, where the users log in and out of those phones and when they are logged out the phones are left with only access to what you define it as?

Many ways to skin the cat, you just have to decide what fits yur needs. On something like this FAC codes is the way to go, since it's only 5 phones.
