Hi,

I would like to improve actual printing administration on W2003 servers in the organization.

I would like to know if anyone has an idea on how to block/avoid printing large documents on w2k3 server, as we found several users printing 100 Mb (even 400 Mb) docs so it hangs up server, stops printer spool service or degrades service.

There's no per printer option to limit this, enabling quota as far as I know it's applied for each disk not for indivual folders (ie limiting C:\WINDOWS\system32\spool\PRINTERS quota) and we have a quota application but it is only installed on data servers.

I also searched for third party applications, but I have no idea which one to choose.

Thanks.
