Limit on number of columns in DTS?

Does anybody know if there is an upper limit on the number of columns in DTS

I have an outrageous number of colums in a single table and my DTS package is failing.

I have determined that DTSSource is totally empty but the Query used as the source returns the proper number of records when run in Query Analyzer

I had a number of sub routines handling various insert and updates.

I finally moved all the code in to function Main and it worked.

I need to do some reseach but I am gussing DTS source is private to function main.

The DTS works now. As soon as I find time to experiment further I will try to post what I find in case anybody else has a similar problem
