Limit on Excel Records imported

When I import Excel spreadsheets into a Table in Access 97 it limits the number of records to 16,383. Is this a limit set by Access or am I doing something wrong. I get no error messages during the import process and I let access assign the record numbers.

I've seen this before myself... I believe it is a resource problem (RAM or Virutal Memory). My solution was to simply use Cut & Paste. Of course this assumes that the database structre already exists. Believe it or not, it worked. I was working with record sets of 30,000 or so. The PC I was using had only 64 MB RAM. htwh Steve Medvid

I believe the limit is set by access. You have to do it in sets.
