I am using CR 2008. I want to create a dynamic parameter to allow for new data being added to the list. However some items on the list are flagged in another field in the table as being suspended. So ideally I ONLY want to show 'live' items in the dynamic list . How can I do this please?

Use a command to create filterd list and use that in Dynamic parameter instead of a table

I have never created a command to create filtered list, how do I do this

Select Database-->Database Expert
Double click on Add Command (below the database name) instead of Tables
In the Add Command to Report Window that pops up, type in the SQL query you need

for eg: (Pls rewrite it according to your need. Pls also check the syntaz. I just wanted to give you an idea)
Select table1.field1, table1.field2 from databasename.table1 where table1.field2 like 'suspended'

Click on the button OK
When you create the parameter, select Command as the Data Source(instead of table).

Hope this helps
