Hi,

What is the easiest way to limit what attachments are sent during synchronization to a remote user? Right now they are receiving all attachments from every user. Our tmplinks folder is becoming quite large and synching it has started to create some problems. We are running GM 6.6 on SQL. Undocked installs are dbase. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks.

Not send them? Generally we recommend not sending attachments to remotes as its a lot of information they never read.

Alternatively switch off the auto-on to sync option for attachments. That way people will have to specific tick them on to sync.

Regards,

Richard.

Note that in the 6.7 release, there is a cool feature that might help out a bit here.. You might consider upgrading...

from the 6.70.50123 release notes:

New: Ability to limit merge forms and InfoCenter linked documents inclusion based on owning username(s) (ITS 38016). (Applies to MS-SQL only)

Requires the following GoldSync.INI setting:

[GoldSync]
LimitInfoAndForms=1 (default is 0 - off)

NOTE: Filter is applied by selecting the desired username(s) from Calendar username listing in Send Options.
