Limit characters in cell without code? 1

Hi all,

Is it possible in Excel 2003 to limit the number of characters in a cell without code? As in, I need to limit A1 to 20 characters max, and so on.

If not without code, then Can I use some VBA to do this, even though the rows will be deleted, and re-entered??
