What is the best method of limiting certain users from access from home (but they do use Citrix when on the lan). Metaframe XP

Do you want to completely cut off access to the users from home, or do you want to give them less access from home than they have on the lan. If you want to completely cut off all outside access, you can do that at the firewall level by blocking port 1494.

You may also want to take a look at Ctirx Access Gateway which will give you more flexibility.

We don't want to block all users just certain ones.

Are you on a Windows network? A few suggestions I can think of if you are:

Set up 2 Citrix servers. Only open up 1 to the outside. Only grant allowed remote users the right to access that server.

Limit the logon time in the user's profile to only log on during work hours.

Other than that, the only way I can think of is through a VPN or Remote Access Server.
