Lilo or GRUB for Redhat 8.0

For those here that have installed RH 8.0, are you using Lilo or GRUB as the boot loader?

I tried installing RH 8.0 with Lilo 3 times, and in all 3 attempts Lilo didnt work. I could not even enter commands to the boot loader. Basically, Lilo didnt not prompt for anything. However when i used GRUB, the first attempt worked fine and it loaded my Linux perfectly. Did anyone else use Lilo as the bootloader and have this same problem?

My experience was just the oppisite. I was trying to dual-boot RH8 and WinXP. GRUB would load RH8 OK, but would not load WinXP. I switched to LILO and now have no problem booting to either OS.

I'm using Grub to dual-boot WinXp and Redhat 8.0 without a problem.

I just need to spend some time figuring out how to change the GRUB settings (like video mode, timeouts, names etc etc)

Dual Booting is MUCH easier with GRUB IMO. Heck, RedHat 8 makes it extremely simple to set it up during the initial install. Just remember to install XP first.

I am running a RH 7.2 and a RH 7.0 both with LILO - one of them is dual boot with win 98, and the other is dual boot to another linux partition I am going to use for a roll your own linux system...

I like LILO, because I've always used it. I would like to upgrade both to verssion 8... But I don't have a connection fast enough to download the whole OS, (or even an upgrade) so any ideas short of buying a book or disk. (I've bought to much free sfotware..... )
