LIKE operator

I am trying to use the like operator in a SQL statement that needs to filter a alpha and numeric string. The string is three alpha and 5 numbers.

Sorry I figured out the problem.<br><br>WHERE [Monthly Capital].journal LIKE &quot; & &quot;'&quot; & &quot;AP***#####&quot; & &quot;'&quot;<br><br>I was tring to gather only the records that started with <br>AP and end with 5 numbers<br><br>Thanks
