Hi... I'm using win2k sp2 to roll out citrix xp to all our users. It is a Netware shop so are not using Active Directory or group policies. I want to pre set the explorer view to the Details view for all folders. Does anyone know of a registry hack to make the 'Like Current Folders' setting rather than each user having to set it on each server in the farm.

Cheers

Try this...

1. Logon to one of your Win2K servers with an admin account. Use an admin account that has never logged on to that server. (only admins can use the CHANGE USER command)

2. Put the server in Install mode from the command line(CHANGE USER /INSTALL)

3. Set the Explorer View just the way you want and click [Like Current Folder] and then click apply and close the explorer window.

4. Put the server back to EXECUTE mode (CHANGE USER /EXECUTE)

What this does is make any of the changes you made propegate to any new user (and I think old users as well) that logs on to "that" server. Unfortunetly, you will have to do this on each server.

Hi Dave ... thank for your reply. unfortantly this doesn't work. Have tried a completely new admin user and made the changes and then logged in with a brand new user and the sub folders still showed in with large icons instead of the details view that I want.

Thanks
Alan
