I have 5 append queries that have to run independently but the end results will appear on 1 table. I added a macro to do this for me, but it only seems to run 3 of the queries. All the formatting is correct and identical for each. Therefore, I am wondering if there is some kind of limits with macros.

I also would like to know how to make my macro run each Monday, capturing the value that was in place Friday following the mainframe download that takes place over the weekend. I would like it to happen when my DB is opened for the first time by a user. My querys right now show Date()-3 and I manually run each one on Monday.

Here is what my macro looks like:

SetWarnings
OpenQuery
OpenQuery
OpenQuery
OpenQuery
OpenQuery
SetWarnings

it only seems to run 3 of the queries
. Seems is a dangerous word in the IT World. You first need to establish the facts. Run the queries manually to see if they indeed do run (eg there is data for all of them). Then add some more lines to the Macro so you can see its progress during execution.

I've not seen any 'limit' behaviour with Macros.

You are right about that being a dangerous word. Actually I am rather new at some of this stuff so I guess my tech talk is not what it should be as yet.

I did as you said, and was still not getting the results I wanted. I did however, figure out a way to end up with 1 append query that runs beautifully to the single table. It is better than what I was trying to do before.

Thanks for letting me know that there is no limit on the Macros.
