Lightweight installer for VScan_TC using FTP

Hi there

I have configured an FTP service on my network and placed the required files for VScan_TC 6.1.0 in the root. The problem is that when the installer tries to retrieve the files to install on the client machine it fails (all the connections failed)?

I have tried everything I can think of, I can brows to the ftp directory using IE on the client machine so why can't the installer connect?

Hi

Try and put the install files in a directory under the root.
ftp.myserver/installTC or something.

The install files are:
INSTMSIW.EXE (For NT)
INSTMSI.EXE (For W9x)
VSCANTC.MCS

Have you defined the login credentilas correct? Or do your FTP accept anonymous login?

Do you have MSI installed on your machines? Have you defined the MSI site?

What does the log file say? Enable verbose logging to get the most out of the log.
