Lights Turn Red Every 5 Seconds

For some reason every 5 seconds or so the lights on the Avaya switch turn red. Not all of them but most of them. Is there some way to find out what is happening?

It is not red but orange.
This is a status led and this is fine.
You should start to worry when it does not do it :)

I don't recall noticing it before. So the ports turning orange every 5 seconds is nothing to worry about?

Port 1 will flash to indicate that the base card is ok. Port 9 will flash if there is a daughter card (e.g. ATM, PRI, etc) installed to indicate if it is ok. If either is red (not orange) then there is an issue with that component.

iirc Muppet mode uses the led's differently & they are red
(cant say for certain because muppet mode is the first thing we fix on new systems)
