Light source using Illustrator?

First off I want to thank dimoj for a quick response to my previous question! There is one thing, though, that I still have a question about; if you zoom in on the logo ( you will notice the designer has a "light source" coming from the upper left corner of the logo to create the extra dimension. Can Illustrator handle this? Are there plug-ins that would work for this kind of thing? Thank you in advance for the response!

Unless I've misunderstood you this is what you want to achieve right?:

If so, the instrustions I gave you in the last thread was exactly what I just did in Illustrator to create this image! The only thing I forget to mention is after you have created the gradient with the gradient palette then you need to use the Gradient Tool from the main tool bar to drag out a line starting from where you want the center (the white part) of your gradient to start from!
