LIDB Database Access

Hello
Any ideas on how we can dip into the LIDB database maintained by the telephone carriers..

Usually you need to be some sort of carrier or service provider and have SS7 connectivity or a connection to the N-PAC. Go to TELCORDIA's site they have all the Bellcore documents about the LIDB database which is part of the numbering administration for NXX codes, rating & routing, etc.....
Also NANPA's site has some info.

Many carriers contract with a LEC or large IXC (such as MCI) for such services. Another 3rd party provider is Illuminet. I think that there is also a division of Verisign who will do it, too.
