I have a client that will be installing SQL 2000 on a AS400 with 4 RISC processors. They will be using an Emulation board with two 3.0 ghz Xeon processors on board. We have tested it out, and suprisingly it works incredibly well.

The question I am stuck with is how do you license it. Do you buy 4 cpu licenses for the RISC processors? 2 for the Intel Processors? or 6 for all the processors?

I am not an expert in this at all, but for the uninitiated - the RISC processors do the processing while the Intel processors 'translate'. More than a weee bit on the simplistic side, but hey.

Thanks, for any suggestions.
