Licensing Question

Question. Corporate 8. No centralized server installation. Windows XP Pro client.

When I install, I do not choose any snap ins. Install proceeds, I choose unmanaged, install proceeds. At the end, when it is time to update, I get a message that no license service agreement was found... blah blah blah.

Anyways, can't get updates.
Is this because the license built in to the installer is expired?
Or, is this because I do need to run the centralized product on a server?

I loaded on a 98 machine, with this same installer, last week, no problem. I've never had a problem loading corporate as an unmanaged client, and I've never had to deal with corporate's licensing model, so this is new to me.

Any help would be appreciated.

Please always take the time to backup any and all data before performing any actions suggested for ANY problem, regardless of how minor a change it might seem. Also test the backup to make sure it is intact.

The exact message is "No maintenance service agreement license was found." It then goes on to state the product will function, but you don't get updates until you aquire a maintenance service agreement license file.
