We have a pair of NT Servers and on one is Exchange. I am primarily a teacher at our school but also the Network Administrator. When the Network was set up the no of users or stations was not an issue as it was all new .. and the people/company who installed the network did not have any licenses "installed". I in my unsure way went and added what was needed to get rid of the error messages in the Events Viewer and at each stage I gave the date and my name as the person adding them.
Now I am in touble. We are not illegal at all and have the paper license .. it is just that I feel that it was the install company who are responsible to have put in the license data not me. I am not a MSP (MS professonal) and so I have not pretended to have done it correctly - only I do not feel it was my responsibility to have done it in the first time. Can any damage be done by adding the date wrong?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Yorke
