I would like to know if it's possible to rehost existing licenses on an IPO office 500v2 control unit to server edition .

Customer already has a V2 but wants to migrate to SE without having to re purchase licenses.

Is this possible?

Depends...short answer is yes. Some licenses will not come over such as Essential Edition, PRI Licenses, etc. The AVAYA IP Endpoint licenses, 3rd party licenses, CTI licenses will come over. You will need additional licenses for the server.

? Why not PRI license. Assuming the IP500 might be kept as a Server Edition expansion unit they are still useful.

Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.

PRI and Softconsole licenses reside on the 500 Expansion server in a Server Edition system. You don't lose them, you just don't migrate them to the SE

Thanks for your inputs , i need some more clarifications . We want to have two virtual servers on VM i.e Primary and secondary servers in different locations . We want each of these SE to be connected to its own separate IPO V2 expansion unit because of E1 . Does this mean we have to buy one unit of IPO R11 VRTLZD SE LIC (396450) for each of the primary and secondary servers and one unit of IPO R11 SE LIC (396449) for each of the expansion unit that will be connected to the primary and secondary servers ? . please clarify .
