I already told you in your previous message you don't need CLM.

As I said "The license can be installed by dropping the .lic file into C:\Program Files (x86)\Licensing\License Agent\import. The license will disappear and appear in ..\license directory, or if not, you can check ..\log\error.log for the reason why not."

So you drop the license in the import directory.
What happens? Does it disappear?
If so, check the ..\license folder and see if the license has appeared there. If so, it's working.

If not, check ..\log\error.log - what does it say?

thank you Mr. Moriendi
I try what you say but the license file stay in the same folder ( as any other file not hoppened any thing )
Mr.Moriendi can ask you equation what is the function of ( CLA and CLM ) and why they put them in the software folder ?
my license file named 00-19-99-EE-BC-C0_AC-WinIP_V2.lic I am copied it in license\import but nonthing happened

Is the CLA service running? Start services.msc and look for "License Agent". Is it started ?

If it is started, and the file does not disappear from the import directory, I would uninstall and reinstall CLA.

CLA is the license agent, it is what applies the license and tells the application that a license is valid.
CLM is the GUI (customer license manager) which you can use to look at the status but it is not needed to actually license the application.

I assume the MAC address of your license is correct - but even if it was wrong, it would still disappear from the import directory and it would write to the error log.

CLA is not doing anything. It looks like it does not detect the file from the import directory.

Did you check the running services? Is License Agent running ?
Did you reinstall CLA ?

good morning
I checked license agent is running and I completely formatted HD op pc and install CLA BUT i DONT KNOW TO PUT LICENCE FILE IN OR sume thing wrong to accept licence file

Like I said above, you put the license file in C:\Program Files (x86)\Licensing\License Agent\import

Is that where you are putting the file?

Even if you put a wrong file in there, CLA will remove it and write to the error log.

I have never seen CLA not take the file from the import directory. If that is really what is happening, I would try and get a newer version of CLA.

Hi Moriendi
I checked all what you say and I completely formatted one of attendant PC and install CLA ( license agent ) I do all what you told me ( copy license file in import folder ) but this file stay in the folder ( ont disappear ) and when install the CLM ( internet explorer ) but I can not browse license location to specify license file.
( we have more than ten attendant pc console ) with the same problem>

thank you very much to reply

I waiting for your reply

I have never seen CLA misbehave like you describe.

Your version of CLA is nearly 10 years old, released for 32bit Windows XP SP2 and Windows 7.

What OS are you installing ?

I think you need a newer version of CLA.

I would note from my classes in late 2015 and early 2016 that there are some combinations of AC-Win and CLA that are not compatible with each other. We had issues trying to get AC-Win to license in class and it turned out to be the version of CLA we were using. Mine is not that old (maybe 3 years) but I haven't felt a need to upgrade it for that reason, but I know there were some issues. So if, for example, they upgraded AC-Win to a newer version or something that could be a contributing factor.) I don't remember the exact versions of things - I have 6 or 7 full legal pads from those classes and it would take me forever to find the notes.

The thing here though Don is that he did have AC-Win working - I'd expect his AC-Win and CLA to be compatible. There were a couple of CLA versions which were a bit of a bumpy ride but generally it's good, you're normally OK to go the latest version.

I've never seen it behave like described though - but released in 2009 - anything can happen. Especially if he's using a newer Windows version than his CLA was tested on.

From some old docs :
1. In the CD provided you should find the following software:

AC-WIN IP, CLA and CLM

If you don’t have it, you must do the download it from SWS Server.

NOTE: Before installing AC-WIN IP, please make sure that you have obtained a license. It is required for the operation. You will need to know what is the MAC address of the Net card because the license is bound to it.

2. uninstall the existing AC-WIN software.

Remove file "ACWUp0E.TSP " the file is in “ (..:\\WINDOWS\\system32)".

It is also advisable to remove the registry keys,."HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\SOFTWARE\\Siemens\\ACWin"

3. Restart the PC.

Software installation.

Must be installed CLM / CLA: (License Management / License Agent)

This is a simple installation, just follow the standard procedure:

CLM: Next, Next, Next, Install, Finish.

CLA: Next, Next, Next, Install, Finish.

Configure CLM:

Now in your desktop you should have an icon named “License Management”. If not, then you will find it in “Start\\All Programs\\Licensing”.

Double click it.

Click “Activate License”

Check the field “Install local license key on license agent (offline activation)” followed by “continue”

Check “License File” and “Browse”. Point it to where your license is located. After that selected, press “Activate” button.

Ok, close the window and install AC-WIN IP.

AC-WIN IP:

Before you proceed to install the software, make sure that all the correct drivers for your sound card are installed and the device is functioning correctly.

Again, unzip it to a folder (if you have downloaded the software) and select “setup.exe”.

This is not a brain surgery and it’s the same as the old one, just a IP version, just keep on pressing “next”.

When you are presented with the choices: AC-Win 2Q IP or AC-Win MQ IP.

AC-Win 2Q IP - Doble Queue

AC-Win MQ IP - Multiple Queue

After the installation is finished, you should automatically see the configuration window. If you don’t, go to “Start\\All Programs\\AC-Win 2Q IP” and select “AC-WIN IP Configuration”.

Registration address - IP address of your STMI module.

Admin number - Attendant number (ACSU)

Gatekeeper ID - Your gatekeeper address or Registration address

Time Window - Leave default

Mixer and Wave settings - If there is only one sound card on your PC, and all was installed correctly and all functions is ok, the sound card will be chosen automatically.
If not, then select the one that ought to be used.
If you cannot select it, the drivers are not installed correctly. Check and install again.

Now click “Save Settings” and exit.

Now start the AC-Win IP application.

Remember - In AC-WIN IP the password in case sensitive.

Remember your password when you are changing it.

The default password after installation is “ADMIN”, not Admin.

If however it doesn’t work, check all the steps again and look for the obvious

For example problems like, you can not ping your HiPath, you can not ping STMI board, from your PC’s

Please, check which address entered in HiPath’s firewall, customer LAN etc. etc.

It is always very important to read the Release documentation and the manuals provided with your software.

I have had issues with CLA on AC-Win V4 where CLA stops working and requires removal, reboot and re-install.
The only thing which could spring to mind is Java version as CLA is Java based.

Good morning all
as attached file when I click continue nothing happen and the error message ( orange colored )
as mentioned Mr.adibv
Check the field “Install local license key on license agent (offline activation)” followed by “continue”

nothing happen to Browse license file
