I'm trying to setup a dial-by name directory on a CM 7.1 system. We do not have the option to create a vector for this, so I'm turning to AAM, which I am much much less familiar with. Our vendor is telling us that a directory is a licensed feature in AAM. I don't doubt that a speech recognition directory is, but is a basic DTMF directory really an extra license?

Have you tried? in AAM's auto attendant I believe you can use the attendant to dial by name or speech reco. I know on officelinx you need a mainstream license to address the person by speech reco, but I recall that being "worse" in that AAM didn't require it.

Have not tried it yet.....it's a very long and office politic-y story. I basically have to prove the vendor wrong before I'm "supposed" to try it.

It's a very dumb situation.
