I am consolidating a couple of Backup Exec 8.6 servers and I need to move the license codes. However... I must be a dork because I can't find where you would do this. Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

The only way I know of doing it is to use the install disk, you'll get to the part where you enter licenses, just add them in.

nexus99 - add/remove programs in Control panel is the place to go. Just modify the installation and enter in your serial numbers when the screen comes up.

Similar question

I have excess remote agent keys which I want to relocate to another site.

when you add in a key for remote agent and then remotely install the client software does the key match up to that server or can I remove some of the keys and not affect the remote servers, i.e. as long as there are enough keys for the remote servers will it still work?

Thanks

remove it, they don't match up with servers.

and yep, just as long as there are enough keys for the remote servers it will be fine.
