License Agreement on login

I am looking for software that will display a computer use agreement when a user logins to Windows/Network for the first time. If the user agrees then Windows will continue to load and not be prompted again. If the user does not agree the computer shutsdown.

We use Deep Freeze so the C: drive is frozen and upon reset it is returned to it's original state.

What OS are you using?If using W2K and a W2K server, you can use group policy to post a warning message.The only problem is it does not shut down, but they have to hit the OK to accept the warning to continue the boot process.

In Windows 98 you can use a Hot key so next time Windows start it makes the user agree to the licence and enter the key code.

I think it is ctrl-shift-F3 but its been a long time. Someone else might remember better then I.

We are using NT 4 on the server and the clients are Windows 98.

Our school board requires students to agree to an Acceptable Use Agreement when at login. I guess it could be done in dos but it would look better with a Windows prompt.

I think I have what you want. You can force a logon message and they have to click OK to go to the logon.

Cut and Paste the following into Notepad and save it as logon.reg, change the message to what you want then double click it to add it to your registry.
