I've read quite a bit about this topic, but am still quite confused. We definately will have more than 25 people accessing our server (probobly around 150-200). However, there will only be approximately 30 or so connecting at once. Does this effect the licensing at all or is it simply per workstation?

Stupid question here but.... We have an enterprize addition cd. I want to install sql server developer edition on my pc to mess around with and to design pre-production databases. How does having this additional install effect licensing?

For your first question, contact your Microsoft licensing representative. This is the only way to be sure.

For your second question, according to the EULA, you can install your copy of SQL Server Developer's Edition on a PC to use for development or testing purposes. The developer's edition license prohibits using it for a production database solution.

Hope this helps.

Know thy data.

Is there a limit to the number of pc's I can install developer addition?

You should be purchasing a copy per development PC.

Thanks

So say we have 2 developers. Currently we own 1 enterprize edition.

We need 2 copies of developer with the 1 copy of enterprize?
