Hello,

I have a problem where i get the error msg "License server is permanently blocked" when trying to add eg: extn, profile.
No alarms, though may have been cleared.
I have restarted LISH & Data reloaded has been done. Fidap shows the file not sure if its corrupt though.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanx!
Saf.

first, maybe you have done this, but check you have not used more licenses than granted, if extensions were initiated under open license then license added, causes this problem. if this is the case, end any over-subscribed in lidap and will be ok again.

best parnum

as parnum said, check LIDAP; for excess licenses.

Hi,
there is nothing in the lidap which has exceeded the allowed amount.
Thanks...
Saf.

CNA142...

<LIDAP;
EIC=02-1039

LICENCE TAG ALLOWED USED
ANALOGUE-EXTENSION 80 68
DIGITAL-EXTENSION 48 36
EXTERNAL-LINE-CAS-ANA 8 4
EXTERNAL-LINE-DASS 30 10
EXTERNAL-LINE-DPNSS 30 0
EXTERNAL-LINE-QSIG 60 60
LICENSE-FILE 1 0
NET-SERVICES 1 0

OM-V24-INTERFACE 3 3
REPEAT-IND-DIV-USER 80 6
SMDR-V24-INTERFACE 1 1

Maybe you should restart PEHH, PEM1, PEM2 and PEP in your system, as you only use 6 out of your 80 REPEAT-IND-DIV-USER.

stupid question, did you change the IPU or NIU board recently??

login to the ipux or niux shell and read your eic number. do you know how to read it?

The question was not stupid to me (!), as I solved my problems with MD110 BC10 profiles licenses, restarting the mentioned programs.

This is an IPU which i'm beggining to suspect is faulty. Not sure how to get into IPUX and view the EIC?.
thanks
Saf!

you can't view it like that, it is burned in EPROM 2/RYS 102 308 (POS.14), locations 180&182. As you replace the board move the EEPROM to the new board.

Open your terminal program (Winfiol) and send SSSSSSS . This time do not use semicolon (;) at the end. Directly press enter after SSSSS. it will ask for the password. Enter your password (it is HELP if it is still default). You will log in to your IPU and you will see the prompt ipux on your terminal. From this point use small letters. Type "readeic all" it will show your system id which must be the same with the number when you ask LIDAP. To quit type "quit". Is there only 1 IPU on your system?

After SSSSSS no response i tried in both case upper & lower this leads me to suspect fault IPU. I'll replace the board and move the prom.

Thanks for all your help guys...

my response was not a response to your response, sorry for offending you. (let me refrase the question (and it was adressed to safron): maybe this is a stupid question, but did you change the IPU board?)

again sorry, and no your suggestion was not stupid!

OK, Daddy! English can be a challenge, even.
