Library file locations - determined by what?

I am using E Reporter 8, as is a coworker.

We can both open a ROD file up on a network drive, yet the locations of the library files are DIFFERENT depending on which one of us opens it!

Ah simple, I thought - we are pointing to different config files but we are in fact pointing to the SAME config file, which we see under Tools , Option, on the General Tab.

On the Libraries Tab, the default libraries list is blank for both of us. But if we go to Tools, Library Organizer, and click on the properties for Libraries included in your report we see differnet file locations (and different versions).

Can anyone explain how Actuate determines where to get the libraries from? Thanks in advance.

Hi

I use a global search path to point to our libraries. This is set from the options tab "Global Search Path". Select New and navigate to where your libraries are stored. Each time you open a report it will look for libraries in this location. This will have to be done for each computer.
