I renamed by mistake the libc.a (/usr/ccs/lib/libc.a)

How can I connect to the system to invoke resch (or any other)
in order to rename libc.a.safe back to libc.a ?

telnet does not work....

If you cannot log on via telnet/rlogin/ConsoleLogin and cannot rsh or ssh into the box to repair this, you'll probably need to boot from install media or mksysb and access rootvg from the install menus to fix this problem.

HTH,

Yes, if ftp still works, get the renamed file in mode binary and put it back with original name, also in binary mode!

I have seen it done. You can only boot off NIM or cd and access rootvg to fix it as p5 said.

no telnet ftp rsh rlogin consolelogin works
trying to boot from cdrom....

boot from cdrom (fix boot device)

mount rootvg manually (auto mount doesnot work)

rename libc.a

reboot

all ok.
