LG iPECs users hear calls going on, on other extensions after turning on call recording

Hi All,

I am new to this forum and new to the iPECS system. I am having an issue where a client of mine has users hearing other conversations while they are on the phone. This seemed to coincide with turning on call recording. We disabled the call recorder and the problem stopped for a time. Once we turned the call recording back on the problems returned and seemed to be worse. Basically a user is on the phone with someone and then they may all the sudden hear another conversation going on. In another instance, two separate groups of people on there own extensions heard a conversation going on, on a third extension, weird I know. Has anyone witnessed this type of problem, and if so any ideas on how to fix it.

Martin,

The system is the UCP100 iPECS.

This only seems to occur when the call recording server is function, as soon as we turn it off the problems go away.

The recorder is an iPCR.

I would have to find out from my field tech, but the UCP and the VCIM were just updated recently. As of last Wednesday we may have found the issue. There is a setting that does something along the lines of one button transfer to the last user transferred to. We are thinking that it may be that setting on the phone and user error as the receptionist may be receiving a call and accidentally hitting this one touch transfer to the last person that received a transfer and not to the correct internal user the transfer is meant for. When they do that transfer it is getting conferenced into a live call. We turned that setting off last week on the phones and no complaints so far so fingers crossed.
