Hi to the experts on here

I have just been thrown a LG LDK16 to install in a small charity office, and Have done all the basics on the cabling & incoming line setup.
The I issue I need resolving is this

I have 3 standard analogue telephone lines incoming and would like to assign them to ring on all extentions to allow call pickup
on further investigations it shows the first 2 lines as being ISDN, and there for cannot seem to pick the first 2 lines up as a normal line01 & line 02 ......

I have a LCOB4 fitted & followed the wiring setup guide, but still having issues in programming.

I since have downloaded the GDK Admin software, but when hooking up to the GDK16 its asking for a password, that eventhe basic ones mentioned on here will npt allow me to communicate with the system !!!... very odd.

Could someone at least give me a basic guide on the best method to unnasign the isdn & programm it correctly either via the LDK30 or via the software

Once I can get the basics sorted I can get them up & running and explore the system further

The password for GDK admin is lgeadm.

Here some additional hints.

Begin with initialization in Menu 1 - !Warning! It erases all programming, but it has to be done before the actual programming takes place.

To set the switches correctly:
Set SW7 btn 1 and SW3 to ON after the initialization!!!!!!!!!
Then restart the system.

Programming can also be done by keyset admin using an LKD-30DS system phone connected to the first keyset "output" on the motherboard.
To enter programming do like this: Trans / prog + * + #.

To diasble the build-in ISDN2 (BRA) connection since you use analogue lines with the LCOB.
Go to the CO Menu (3) and disble the lines 1 and 2 (ISDN build-in lines):
MENU-3/12/3 - here choose 4 - for CO line group 4, which disables the 2 first lines.

Make sure that you enables line 3+4 - the analogue ones.
MENU-3/34/3 - here choose 1 - for CO line group 1, which enables the lines 3+4.

Since you may not use line 5+6, you should also disable these.
MENU-3/56/3 - here choose 4 - for CO line group 4, which disables the lines 5+6.

A ring group for the 3 phones can be created by:

In Menu 11, you will find the groups 61-64.

Or:

In MENU-3/xx/7 (MENU-3/34/7) you can program what phones should ring when a call enters line 3+4. Tou can toggle between Day, Night, None and All.

Hope that this brings you further your goal.
