LFTP on AIX 5.3

I am being asked if I can install LFTP on our P630 server which is running AIX 5.3. This will be used to FTP files using SSL.

Has anyone installed LFTP on AIX 5.3? The software is not on the "AIX Toolbox for Linux" CD. I also looked an an alternative of using cURL which is included on the CD. However, we are not having any luck transferring files with that software either. The file we are trying to download appears to download but is not no our server.

I wish we could use SFTP but evidently, we need to use either cURL or LFTP with LFTP being the preference.
