lexical and bind parameters

Hi,

Can u plz explain waht are lexical parameters and bind parameters.. if they r not the same, can u explain the difference.

The main difference is that lexical variable is substituted by value before PARSING, while bind one - AFTER (during binding phase). Thus you may use lexical variable to change column/table names or even complete sql statement during runtime, though bind variables may be used only to parametrize your query.
