Well...I launched the website for Wildphyre Productions.
But here is two problems.
First: view the intro, view main page, go to Our DJs button, click...ok move the cursor around bottom/left near the photo of the DJ and you'll hear the sounds that the four buttons on the main page make and the cursor changes. This page is on level1 and the main page is on level0. I can't figure out how to avoid that.
Two: notice how it takes time to load each out of four links, would it be possible to build a pre-loader for each page/ do you think that might degrade the design of the site?
What do you think of this site overall.
Any comments are much appreciated.

PS
After the intro to wildphyre.com follow the PRODUCTION link.
Thanks

Personally, I find the site to be tight and well designed visually. However, NEVER give people the option of the "back" button unless you want them to use it, because they will (I know better, and I used it and was instantly frustrated). I didn't notice a PRODUCTION link and the only thing that worked was news (I'm on a cable modem). I feel it is pertinent that you build a preloader for each page, because then the user knows something is happening and will wait instead of thinking it is a dead link. Since I'm sure you'll want to know eventually, I found the navigation to be confusing, but otherwise, you're nearly there!

i liked it, did you notice on the first page at the bottom left where it had that square with the rounded edges, the text going in and out shows through somehow as it leaves the square. curious, how big in kb was that site? well if you dont put a back button on the pages i think everyone knows where the one on the internet explorer is, right?????????

Nate,

That's exactly what I'm talking about. It makes the movie start over and you don't go "back" at all. You start over. I mean making the thing pop up in a window which eliminates the "back" button in the web browser. If you don't give the user the option, they can't use it. They will use the back button!!!!!!

Wow.
First of all, the back button on each page is supposed to take you to the last frame of the interface page. If it does not do it on your system, please let me know. I wonder what might be the reasons. If you use the back button on IE it will take you from viewing the news section to the start of the introduction sequence with the bird and DJ. Try it. That was the whole idea behind creating the back buttons.

Second. What's up with the text in the rounded box? Where does it show? Everything looks good on my PC. Please clarify.

Third. Preloaders will be added. Thank you.

I appreciate all the feedback. Did anyone notice the problem with the sounds around the picture of the DJ on OUR DJs page. Check it out.

Thank you guys for all the feedback.

Regarding your level problems, I am currently struggeling with a similar case.

To avoid having the level0 buttons 'invisible active' in the background while displaying a level1 screen, I tried the following:

Every time a button opens a level1 screen, the level0 timeline jumps to a frame in which none of it's objects is present. Level0 becomes a blank screen.

My problem was, I couldn't find any way to point the level0 timeline BACK to it's initial state (frame 1) when the back button in level1 was used.

It seems there is no way to control a higher level timeline that is NOT a movie clip instance...

it may be that i have my alpha on my monitor/video settings set too light or maybe not because i just went back and on
page that box at the bottom left..
as the words move in and out of the box i can still see them in the blue background, they go to the side of the box them sit there....

What might be the solution for it, Natedeia?

Can you see what i am talking about? That blue BG, did you set it in the alpha to get its color? Just off the top of my head that could be one reason.
