I am currently using Photoshop6. I am unable to view the histogram under the Levels command. I can adjust the levels within an image but the histogram is not in the dialog box, instead the space where it should be is black. Can anyone help as I don't know what has happened to my histogram, I have uninstalled Photoshop, reinstalled but this has made no difference. Any advice would be appreciated.

I have the same problem one month ago.
In my case, it was not a Photoshop problem, but a MONITOR SETTINGS problem.
Try to vreyfy the monitor settings: SETTINGS -> COLORS.
On my monitor the COLOR was High Color (16 bits) ahd I swich to True Color (32 bits).
After that, I have no more problems.

I hope to help...
