Letters Missing When Printing From ILL8

Hi,
I've imported and image from Photoshop 6 (PDF format) into Illustrator 8, then I added some text with a stroke on it. When printed none of the stroke showed up and some of the letters were missing.
Has anyone come across this rather strange behavior?

Well, I don´t know if u use PC or Mac, but the if you want to save yourself from messing around with fonts, just convert text to outlines (ctrl(cmnd)+shift+O) before printing.
(I didnt get why are you exporting Photoshop file to pdf, you can place photoshop file in AI as well ( To place psd into Illustr8, I think you have to save as psd5)
