I have a report which based on a condition should switch the page size from LETTER to LEGAL.

Can this be done in one PDF report?

I am using WebFOCUS 7.1.4 Dev Studio
Windows XP Environment.

Thank you :)

Thanks,

Leo ;-)

Is the condition known BEFORE the request is run, or is it set as a result of the output?

It is based on the value of a field be returned from the data. So, based on the value(s) some values will have letter size while others would have legal.

Thanks,

Leo ;-)

That makes it tough, as the determination of page size is done from the stylesheet, which is parsed BEFORE execution. Can you do it in two passes: extract the LEGAL output first, then the LETTER output? The output can be combined in a single PDF, using compound reports.

The page size is a result of the output.
Does that make a difference?

Thanks,

Leo ;-)

Yes, it does, as the page-size is determined by the STYLESHEET setting in the report, BEFORE the report is executed.
