Who's services have you used? Personally, I've used Amazon's S3 service and some of their other offerings for the past three years. I have not yet tried to spin up any sql boxes directly in the cloud.

I'm not sure a hosted real or virtual server (box) is "cloud" related by any useful definition. Don't we have other forums to cover hosting and virtualization already?

S3, etc. are probably closer to the topic.

Where it gets murky for me are simpler forms of hosted storage, e.g. WebDAV servers.
