Let user edit and delete portal listing

Hi all,

My problem is I would like user to create, edit and delete their own portal notice/news listing but I can only get them to do this if I give manage area rights. I was able to do it in a wws site with out giving them manage area rights, and pick if i want them to edit, delete etc.. I don’t want to give manage area rights on the portal as this means that they can do a lot more things then I want to give them. Can anyone help here?

The reason I have done this is so that user can create notice and push out information to the intend audience which I have set up so different people will receive notices that are only relevant to them on the portal.

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated

I ran into this issue as well, I wanted users to be able to view expired and archived items but not do anything else, wasnt able to without giving them manage permissions.

I looked into a way around it for a couple of days but never found anything so I am also interested to hear if anyone has an answer.

If not I am hoping they manage to get it fixed for the next version later this year.

I know this hasn't helped at all but sometimes it's nice to know you're not alone :)
 
Yeah it is good to see that im not the only one who has had this problem. Thanks. Hopefully someone will have an answer if not then hopefully they have fixed this problem in the next version.
