Legend with Du-Voice?

I am not familiar with the DuVoice product and have a customer that is having problems with messages cutting off when listening and a caller being cut off when trying to leave a message.This does not happen all the time. I checked for dialtone on all 6 ports and the vm system answered all and sounds fine. If anyone has any experience with this product and has a suggestion it would be greatly appreciated.

How hard is it to do if you're not familiar with DU-Voice? Is it similar to Messaging 2000?

Treat it like a computer problem and not a voicemail problem.

Use My Computer (or whatever) to view the C: drive. Right-click to select Properties, then hit the Tools tab. Select "Check Now". I recommend selecting both "Automatically fix file system errors" and "Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors" before hitting the Start button. Should you follow this advice, you'll be warned that the utility can't run until a reboot. Agree to this, then warn your customer that voicemail will be down before you perform the reboot.

A terrabyte drive can take a good two hours to perform such a thorough scan. For a typical DuVoice drive, I wouldn't expect the process to take much more than 40 minutes. This task is something that could easily be done after hours if that makes more sense.

What will this tell me? And is there a password required to do this or just go to My Computer on the machine Du-Voice is loaded on?

Yes, it's just an ordinary Windows machine with DuVoice software on it. If somebody on-site doesn't know the password, then send me an email or give a call. Can't post that stuff here.
