Legend R7 Auto Attendant problem and DID Ringing

Okay here is my setup:
I have a legend R7 with 2 PRI circuits. One is dedicated to a modem pool for specialized incbound routing. The other is the admin pool. Last 3 digits 400 is the only inbound going to the console whose extension is 400. All other users are 111 and so on. All users are put in cover group 30 and have their own boxes. They work great. 791 is assigned with overflow to 770 and set for about 5 ring timed delay. Pool 70 is set to 791 in cover.

When system is in night service mode, the night service greeting somes on after 1 ring and all is well. When night service is not on, the phones just ring and ring with no voice mail.

Box 400 is set to COS 15 which is AA1.
400 is not in cover group 30.

Also with the PRI ringing only on 400, I have a problem with getting other phones in the office to ring. To get them to ring, I have 6 extensions set to primary cover 400. This may be the source of my problems.

Maybe rather than trying to fix this, it would be better if we focus on a clean install. How would I best setup for incoming 400 last 3 on a PRI to ring at all MLX stations in the system and also cover those incoming calls with Merlin Mail?

Thanks!

Put 400 in voice mail coverage, that will get it to vm during the day. Put a primary cover on 8 MLX stations to ring with the console. If you MUST have it ring in on more MLX stations, it gets sticky. You would need to have it ring to an analog port then loop that extension to a line port that appears on ALL stations to get it to ring, but then only one call at a time. Doing this to a calling group would get more than one at a time, but messy.
Another idea would be to have the console covered to an analog alert, or alerts throughout the company, then when it went off, callers could "pickup ext 400" to get teh call. If you have to get the "ringing" everywhere, that would probably be the cleanest

I stand corrected, 400 is in cover group 30. I am not sure why it is not going to VM. I also checked night service and cover control is disabled. Another post said this is correct. Should it really be enabled?

MLM I suppose right?

I am not sure if you can do this in an MLM but here is what I use for a Magix/Messaging/PRI.

Magix: 2.2
Group 771 as AutoAttendant 1 = Grp 771(AA1)
Ext 400(Operator Console) member of cover group 30
VM Box 400 as AA1 = x400(AA1)
You can adjust x400 group cover delay as the AA day delay call handler!
x400 is a member of the night service group.
Overflow to 7929(VM Group)
Overflow timers are set to factory default.
Autologin
No Members in call group 771
Grp 771 is a member of the night service group. This allows for immediate AA coverage
Messaging: 2.5
771 as AA1
400 as AA1
Follow Business Schedule and Switch mode.
Day zero = x400
Nite zero = Gen Box 9991
PRI Routing:
4750314 is changed to 400

In your case, the secondary timer is added to the group cover timer to have the total number for vm coverage rings. However, if the rings are substantially more then the total number of added rings, you could have coverage vms off. Add the button to the extension then print the extension to see if it is on or off.

You could route the DID to any other extension but an operators console then use shared system access buttons. Then use the programming that I outlined if possible.

I have a Merlin Mail R3. And no, it does not work exactly the way a messaging does. Any other ideas?

Do us a favor and PRINT extenison info for 400 (If that's what you are trying to get to Voice Mail)

Not really, all out of ideas but perhaps you could still tshoot the reason for lack of coverage during the day. Perhaps cover vms is off for extension 400. Or perhaps the coverage rings or group delay rings are abnormally high. Who knows. Its a crapshoot without more info.

Good luck.

As I said, print out the info for Ext 400.

A print of what you are working on usually lets you see what is causing the problem.

After all, these are SOFTWARE/FEATURE intensive systems.

Thus, a query of the PROGRAMMING could be very enlightening.

Here is the print out. Sorry it took a couple of days to get back on this one. What do you see?
