We switched carriers on the PTP T1 and we changed from D4 AMI to B8ZS ESF. Now the name does not show up on the Definity side. Any suggestions?

Did anything else change, i.e. from tie to pri or vice-versa? Have them check the trunk group and see what protocol they are using for incoming caller ID. Also, is the new carrier passing the caller ID info? Some carriers charge extra for this.

I think the problem is that the first circuit was COMMON CHANNEL signaling. I can not get that to work on the new one. I am hoping the provider can is blocking it, and that they can turn it on.

Is your PTP T1 a full T1 or fractional? If it is a full T1(all 24 channels) you have complete control of the path. So in changing the framing and line code of the new T1, you need to change the parameters of the Legend and Definity to match the T1.

Hope this helps!

On a PTP, you control all. Fractional, Signaling, etc. Recheck the Definity, and Legend setups, because somethig isn't matching. The Definity is PROBABLY the synch source, so be sure the Legend is set to synch to Loop.
